On-Road IoT
- Enhancements have been made to the Beta Config Groups page to improve usability. Assets with outdated firmware are now highlighted and flagged with a new alert. The asset export of the configuration group now includes a clear description of the alerts in the spreadsheet.
- Users are prompted to compile and upload assets after receiving a standard notification that the configuration has been updated, or when an asset is newly commissioned, as the assets will not have a configuration until it is uploaded. For newly commissioned assets using ingested third-party devices, the Config Compile Notification is hidden because no configuration upload is required.
- HERE map services have been updated to enhance the accuracy of road speed data. Due to this change, road names or addresses may not be available for every location, specifically if the road does not have a name or address details, resulting in some reports or dashboards displaying blank values in the address field.
- The first Beta version of the embedded AI Assistant (Aura) in Unity On-Road IoT is now available for Powerfleet staff only. Please note that this is separate from the internal standalone Aura assistant, which remains available as usual. In this initial release, the embedded AI assistant will only provide responses based on knowledge base content.
VisionAI
The VisionAI camera, when used in standalone mode as an onboard computer, now supports driver identification through Dallas tags. All physical driver identification via the Dallas tag on VisionAI standalone devices will result in the Driver ID being automatically assigned to all telematics data in On-Road-IoT, e.g. Trip Timeline, Video Gallery, Historical Tracking, Live Tracking, Info Hub, etc.
A new feature has been added to identify camera channels more accurately. A mandatory camera direction dropdown has been introduced in the “Add Camera Name” modal, improving the accuracy of video blurring. Read more in Add custom camera name for VisionAI devices
