- In On-Road IoT, click Monitor.
- Under Fleet admin, click Drivers.
- Click on the Add driver icon -
- Enter the relevant information - note that the fields marked with a red asterisk are compulsory.
- Name - Note: For ELD customers, the driver's last and first name(s) must be separated by a comma and space, e.g. Smith, John - each value must be between 2 and 30 characters; this validation is enabled on all US HOS rule sets.)
- Driver ID -Blue Tag - the number used to uniquely identify the driver to the system. When creating a driver, you can choose a number in the range of -32,768 to 32,767. Once the driver has been created, the number can no longer be changed. If you do not wish to specify a number, the next available number will automatically be assigned to this driver.
- Site - is a physical location or grouping at which drivers are based and/or from which assets are operated. This grouping can be per region, state, department or any other grouping that makes sense in your business.
- Employee Number - the driver's employee number.
- Before you can save you have to check the box to confirm that the driver has given you consent to use the personal information for work-related purposes to comply with GDPR and POPIA legislation.
- Click Save.
- More driver configuration tabs will now become available as configured to the organization's individual needs.
- Complete hours of service settings.
- Click Save.
