Permission: You will need the "Drivers - MyMiX driver authentication" update permission to use this feature. The "Database administration - MyMiX settings" permission must be enabled to ensure the driver has those settings on their profile.
Please note that this will only be available to drivers if the organization has been enabled for MyMiX. Fleet Managers send invitations to drivers to download MyMiX and sign up using either their email address or mobile number.
- Click Monitor.
- Under Fleet admin, click Drivers.
- Search for the relevant driver.
- Click the green driver name or the downwards action arrow and select, Edit.
- Click the MyMiX driver authentication tab on the left. Remember that this is only available if the organization has been enabled for MyMiX.
- Choose if you want to send the invitation via email or mobile phone and then enter either the email address or mobile phone number.
- Click Save to send the invitation.
You will get a notification that the message has been sent to the driver and the user status will change from no user account to pending.
The driver must click the CREATE MY ACCOUNT link in the invite to sign up. Once the driver has completed the sign up process their status will change to Active.
Notes:
- You will still be able to edit the email address while the invitation has not been accepted by the driver. Click resend to send a new invitation. The blue status will change from no user account to pending as shown below:
Note that the email invitation is valid for 7 days after which it will expire. The blue status icon will show as Expired on the driver screen in MiX Fleet Manager.
- Click resend invitation as shown above.
The authentication methods are show for reference only and they cannot be selected/deselected here. Choose the authentication methods in database administration.
