Unity portal
-
Unity Connect (Pointer Connect) has been integrated, so you can now access Unity Connect from within the portal.
-
A new personal settings page allows logged-in users to update their first name, last name, language, and country of residence. Note that changes made here won't affect settings in any legacy solutions and only apply to the portal.
On-Road IoT
- The “Reboot” command for MiX 4000 and MiX 6000 LTE devices is now logged in the Commands to Mobile Device stream in the Info Hub.
-
A new Configuration Groups (Beta) page is now available. This page will coexist with the legacy configuration groups page for a few months before fully replacing it. Both pages are compatible and can be used interchangeably without issue.
The new page offers improved performance, a modernized interface, and enhanced functionality to simplify device configuration and management. Key improvements include:
- Filtering by device type.
- Multi-select options for bulk actions.
- Display of additional valuable information.
- Identification of configuration issues.
- A more informative and user-friendly layout.
EasyCheck app
When using the default system vehicle inspection templates, drivers are no longer required to take a photo if a step fails.
Cellocator Asset Gateway
The Cellocator Asset Gateway solution is now live, ensuring seamless, automated synchronization of Organizations, Assets, Devices, and Drivers between Pointer Connect and Unity On-Road IoT.
Key capabilities of the sync service include:
- Automated organization creation: Organizations are generated from a predefined database template, ensuring consistent onboarding.
- Device provisioning: The Cellocator Asset Gateway device is automatically configured with a default setup, streamlining deployment.
- Asset synchronization: Assets are synced using data captured in Pointer Connect, eliminating manual input.
- Device association and commissioning: Devices are automatically linked to assets and activated for immediate use.
With this integration, you can now access trips, events, and real-time positioning of Pointer Connect devices directly within Unity On-Road IoT. For those using Vision AI, the solution also supports seamless connection of the Vision peripheral alongside Cellocator devices.
The Cellocator Asset Gateway supports data ingestion for all Cellocator devices available in Pointer Connect, including (but not limited to):
- CR100
- CR100CAN
- CR400
- CR400CAN
- CANIQ
- CANIQ-M

CR100 CAN and CR400 CAN data ingestion in Unity On-Road IoT
New Device Support: CR100 CAN and CR400 CAN
Unity On-Road IoT now supports data ingestion from CR100 CAN and CR400 CAN devices.
This includes:
- Creation of two new mobile device types with default configurations and Vision AI support.
- Ability to associate CR devices and configuration groups with an asset directly in Unity On-Road IoT.
- Ensures that all ingested data is correctly mapped and managed for seamless asset tracking and analysis.
Direct Cellocator integration via existing Gateway
- Unity On-Road IoT now directly ingests data from Cellocator devices using the existing Cellocator Gateway.
- No need to pre-create assets in Pointer Connect — streamline your setup and reduce administrative overhead.
- Assign a default driver to the Asset to automatically associate drivers to trips.
Data processed includes:
- Positions and trip generation
- CAN metrics: speed, odometer, fuel
- Standard events
- Vision AI events
Configuration and management notes
- DNS communication update: Admins must update existing PL files to use DNS instead of IP for Unity On-Road IoT Linker communication.
- PL file management remains unchanged:
- APN and server DNS are still managed in the PL file.
- No auto-commissioning via Alpha server.
- Driver ID and event thresholds must be managed via the PL file only.
- No support for parameter updates via Fleet360 or Correlator.
- PL file and firmware updates will continue through the Cellocator+ server.
Please note: Type11 messages (CAN DTCs and custom CAN events) are not supported at this time.
