When a VisionAI Standalone asset is commissioned (using the camera as the onboard computer), its odometer starts at zero and accumulates automatically with each trip until you set it to the vehicle's actual reading.
You can set or correct the odometer for a VisionAI Standalone asset at any time from the asset screen in On-Road IoT.
- In On-Road IoT, click Monitor.
- Under Fleet Admin, click Assets.
- Select the specific VisionAI standalone asset by clicking the link in the asset description column.
- Click on the Mobile device settings tab on the right.
- Click the Set odometer button.
- Enter the vehicle's actual odometer reading.
- Click Save.
The new value appears in the asset table immediately, and subsequent trip distances are added to it.
An estimated odometer reading displays with a tilde (~) next to it, the same indicator used for Digital Matter Remora assets. This flags that the reading includes distance calculated from trips rather than a device-reported value, and clears once the odometer is set to a confirmed reading.
