Enable or disable engine hours tracking for assets linked to a mobile device template. When enabled, the device will record and report engine hours data to On-Road IoT.
Changes to the mobile device template will apply to all assets linked to that template. Ensure the correct template is selected before making changes.
- In On-Road IoT, click Manage.
- Under Config Admin, click Templates.
- Click the Mobile device templates tab.
- Search for the relevant mobile device template that you want to make changes to.
- Click the hyperlinked template name or the three dots menu at the end of the relevant row and select Edit.
TIP: You can also go to Configuration groups if you are not sure which mobile device template is linked to your assets. Read Find the configuration template linked to an asset.
- To open the mobile device properties, click on the name of the mobile device type at the top.
- Locate the Engine hours setting in the mobile device properties. This is only available on devices that support engine hours.
- Check the box to enable engine hours or remove the check to disable it.
- Click Save.
A configuration upload is required after enabling engine hours. The setting will only take effect on the device after the next successful configuration upload.
