On-Road IoT
-
Three new asset types are now available on the Asset details page:
- Light Delivery Vehicle - Pickup
- Light Vehicle - SUV
- Off-road/4WD
Each has its own thumbnail and tracking icon, so you can identify vehicles more easily. The new asset types are also available in MiX Integrate and the Powerfleet Manager mobile app.
-
Driver names no longer need to be unique. You can now create multiple drivers or users with the same name. This helps larger organizations that have drivers who share a name.
-
Inspection records now display a placeholder image while photos are still syncing from the EasyCheck mobile app. This replaces the broken image icon.
-
The Unity portal and On-Road IoT will soon use Powerfleet’s central sign-in system. When this goes live, you will notice a new look:
- You enter your username on one page, then your password on the next.
- The first time you sign in, you are asked to confirm your existing login details.
Please keep your current password handy so you are ready when the new page appears.
-
Internal changes - The UD Trucks, Volvo, Ruptela and Samsara integrations have all been migrated internally from IoTSignals to IoTObservations. No change in behavior is expected and these devices should continue to track, trip and raise events as before.
EasyCheck Vehicle inspections app
- Inspections now show sync progress while the record and its photos upload to the server. The inspection will display a Saving… message with a spinner on the Dashboard and History pages until the record and its photos finish uploading. Inspections completed while the device is offline will now display a Not saved yet message. The message stays until the record syncs. Photo syncing from EasyCheck to the web is now more reliable on slower connections. Photos no longer appear missing or broken on the web after you submit an inspection.
Powerfleet Manager app
- Three new asset types that have been added in On-Road IoT will display in the app - Light Delivery Vehicle - Pickup, Light Vehicle - SUV and Off-road/4WD.
