The Volvo Electric Buses assets are not manually commissioned in On-Road IoT.
Position, trips, odometer, engine hours and basic server-side event data will be received from the UD Trucks Connected Services REST API and made available in On-Road IoT.
Prerequisites
- Your valid UD Trucks Connected Services API credentials.
- Access to the Unity On-Road IoT Data Connector settings.
- Access to Live Tracking, Historical Tracking, Trip Timeline, InfoHub, Event Report, and Dashboards to view data once it arrives.
The commissioning is automatic when the IoT Connector is enabled and has devices available to sync within the UD Trucks API platform for the authenticated user account.
- In On-Road IoT, click Monitor.
- Under Fleet Admin, click IoT data connector.
- Search for the UD Trucks connector, click Enable.
- Enter the UD Trucks Client ID, Client Secret and API key.
- Click Save
NOTE: NOTE: UD Trucks data currently updates on a 6-hour polling cycle. This means data is not real-time and may be delayed by up to 6 hours. Please factor in this delay before checking for new data.
