If multi-factor authentication (MFA) is enabled on your On-Road IoT user account, you will be prompted to verify your identity with a one-time code each time you sign in to the Powerfleet Manager app. MFA is enabled and configured in the On-Road IoT web application, not in the mobile app.
Signing in with MFA
- Open the Powerfleet Manager app and select On-Road IoT.
- Enter your credentials and tap Sign in.
- On the MFA verification screen, open your authenticator app (for example, Google Authenticator) and locate the current 6-digit code for your account.
- Enter the 6-digit code in the app. The Verify button activates once all 6 digits have been entered.
- Tap Verify — if the code is correct, you are signed in and taken into the app.
Error messages
If you see an error during MFA sign-in:
- "Invalid code. Please try again." — The code entered was incorrect. Check your authenticator app for the current code and try again.
- "Failed to authenticate. Your session has expired. Please log in again and retry." — The verification session timed out (sessions expire after 5 minutes). Tap the link to return to the sign-in page and start again.
- "Too many failed attempts. Please wait and try again later." — Too many incorrect codes were entered in a short period. Wait 5 minutes before trying again.
