The Volvo Electric Buses assets are not manually commissioned in On-Road IoT.
Position, Trip, and electric vehicle data will be received from the Volvo API to enable Electric Vehicle functionality in Unity On-Road IoT.
Where a Volvo EV is commissioned in the system, and configured to include EV support, the Electric Vehicle functionality will be available in On Road IoT, as well as Level 1 functionality such as trips, positions, odometer, engine hours, basic events, server-side events, as well as a VisionAI connection as an associated peripheral to the asset.
Vehicles are commissioned by a connector interface to connect the Volvo Connect API account.
- The commissioning is automatic when the IoT Connector is enabled and has devices available to sync within the Volvo API platform for the authenticated user account.
- In On-Road IoT, click Monitor.
- Under Fleet Admin, click IoT data connector.
- Search for the Volvo Electric Bus connector, click Enable.
- Enter the Volvo API Username and Password on the connector credentials page.
