When a driver notes a problem during a vehicle inspection, the Unity On-Road IoT solution will automatically raise it as an outstanding issue and display it in the Maintenance status page.
Multiple reports of the same problem will be added to the same open issue to avoid duplicate issues.
Permission: You will need the Maintenance, Inspection templates - Organisation settings permission.

View unresolved issues in the app
- Check the box next to Allow drivers to view unresolved issues.
Choose how to mark issues as resolved
You can choose any or all of the options below:
- Check Mark the issue as resolved in the EasyCheck mobile application to allow drivers to manually mark an issue as resolved directly in the app.
- Check the box next to Mark the issue as resolved on the "Maintenance status" page in On-Road IoT to allow fleet administrators and people using the On-Road IoT maintenance page to mark issues as resolved.
- Check Resolve the issue by passing the next inspection in the EasyCheck mobile application to automatically resolve an issue when the driver passes the relevant inspection step.
Drivers can approve repairs
- Check the box next to Drivers required to approve previous repairs if you want drivers to approve a repair before the vehicle can enter service again. This will be done via the EasyCheck mobile app.
- If you want them to add a mandatory comment before approving the repair, select Comment always required from the Leave a comment dropdown list.
- Specify if photos are optional or mandatory by selecting the appropriate option from the Take a photo dropdown list.
Add new assets in EasyCheck mobile app
- If you want drivers to add new assets on the EasyCheck mobile app for inspection that are not in the Unity On-Road IoT admin system, check the box next to Allow drivers to add new un-managed assets.
Inspection history in the mobile app
- Check the relevant box under Inspection history if you want drivers to access and view both their own and other drivers' inspection history records for assets and trailers.
- If you check the box enabling the inspection history on the EasyCheck mobile app, you can select how far back the history must go. Choose between 1 day, 1 week, 1 month or 3 months.
Report failed checks to supervisor
Set the requirement for a driver to provide a supervisor name on the inspection summary screen in the EasyCheck mobile application when any checks have failed.
- Check Require drivers to enter a supervisor name to enable this setting.
Drivers asset access permissions
- By default, drivers can only view the assets in their own site. Check the box under Driver can view all assets if you want drivers to see all assets in the organization in the mobile app.
- Click Save.
