Enable or disable the device from sending fault code messages to MiX Fleet Manager on the mobile device template. This setting is enabled by default.
- Click Manage.
- Under Config Admin, click Templates.
- Click on Mobile device template.
- Search for the relevant mobile device template that you want to make changes to.
- Click the green hyperlinked template name or the downwards actions arrow and select Edit.

- To open the mobile device properties, click on the name of the mobile device type at the top.
The setting is available on all MiX mobile device templates (MiX 4000, 6000, 6000LTE) below the Send AVLs settings:
- Check the box to enable and remove the check to disable the fault codes.
- Click Save.
Please note that the firmware that is required to support this setting has not been released to production for the MiX 6000 devices yet.
Fault Code installation requirements for MiX 4000 and MiX 6000
- MiX4000 minimum requires firmware 5.8.16.
- For OBDII installations: requires an OBDII script that is able to make active requests on the CAN bus.
- For J1939 installations: requires a J1939 script that can hear DTC messages broadcast on the CAN bus.
