Volvo Electric Bus connects supported Volvo Electric Bus assets to On-Road IoT using the Volvo API. The Volvo Electric Bus mobile device must be made available first so it shows in the system, but assets themselves are not manually commissioned — they're synced automatically through the On-Road IoT Data Connector.
This integration provides Level 1 functionality, as well as Electric Vehicle functionality and a VisionAI connection as an associated peripheral to the asset.
What you need
- A Volvo Connect API account and credentials (Username and Password).
- Access to the On-Road IoT Data Connector settings.
What you can do
- Track the vehicle position in live tracking.
- Review trips in trip history.
- View the odometer reading for the vehicle.
- View engine hours.
- Receive basic events and server-side events.
- View Electric Vehicle functionality for Volvo EVs configured to include EV support.
- View data from a VisionAI connection associated with the asset as a peripheral.
