SafeGuard - Group (Organization) Profile (Overview)
Group Profile scores a whole organization rather than a single driver, so you can decide where to focus training across the fleet.
The page is built from three views, each supporting a different training decision:
- Focus: which individual drivers to manage first.
- Safety Score: which drivers carry the highest overall risk.
- Behavioral Management Score: which behaviors the organization as a whole handles badly.
Set the statistical cycle
Choose whether to score the organization over a natural week or a natural month.
- Select Weekly or Monthly as the statistical cycle.
- Click the left or right arrow beside This Week or This Month to step back or forward one cycle at a time.
- Select the vehicle group whose profile data you want to view.
- Search a driver's name to open that driver's profile data. Partial matches work.
Focus
Focus gives you the fleet's most fatigued and most distracted drivers as a direct list, so you can manage the small group generating most of the risk. It counts the drivers evaluated in the cycle, then breaks out fatigued and distracted driver numbers.
Fatigued drivers list
- Click View Detail beside the fatigued driver count to open the fatigued drivers list.
- Click a driver in the list to open their fatigue habits page.
The list shows how many drivers are under key focus for fatigue, and what share of the organization's total fatigue alerts those drivers generate.
The list also counts how many consecutive cycles each driver has appeared: first time, 2 consecutive times, 3 consecutive times, or 4 or more consecutive times.
For each driver, the list shows their data for the current cycle, the same data for the previous cycle, and their recent record of appearing on the list.
Distracted drivers list
- Click View Breakdown beside the distracted driver count to open the distracted drivers list.
- Click a driver in the list to open their distraction habits page.
The list shows how many drivers are under key focus for distraction, and what share of the organization's total distraction alerts those drivers generate.
As with fatigue, the list counts consecutive appearances and compares each driver against the previous cycle.
Safety Score
Safety Score ranks drivers by their overall Safe Driving Ability score, so you can identify who carries the highest combined risk. The ranking sorts ascending by default, lowest score first, and the home page shows the 20 lowest-scoring drivers.
- Click a driver to open their general profile page.
- Click View All to the right of Safety Score to open the full leaderboard for all drivers.
The leaderboard page shows:
- The organization's Safe Driving Ability score, which is the average of every driver's score in that organization.
- The distribution of that score across the organization.
- Capability scores across five dimensions: safe driving, aggressive driving, violation driving, fatigued driving, and distracted driving. Each dimension score is the average of all drivers' scores for that dimension.
- The trend for all five dimensions. A weekly cycle shows the current week plus the preceding 9 weeks. A monthly cycle shows the current month plus the preceding 5 months.
- A ranking of all drivers for each of the five dimensions, ascending, lowest score first.
What the five dimensions measure
Safe driving capability measures overall safe driving ability. SafeGuard weights every behavior that affects safety and combines them into one score. A higher score means stronger capability. The four dimensions below make up this score.
Aggressive driving measures whether the driver drives aggressively. It applies speeding, following too closely, aggressive lane changes (frequent lane changing to overtake, continuous multi-lane changes, and changing lanes while following too closely), changing lanes over a solid line, sharp turns, harsh deceleration, and harsh acceleration. SafeGuard calculates the score from the frequency and risk level of those events.
Violation driving measures whether the driver complies with traffic rules. It applies excessively long continuous driving, not wearing a seatbelt, smoking, and using a mobile phone while driving.
Fatigued driving measures whether the driver stays alert. It applies the degree and duration of the fatigued state from real-time risk assessment.
Distracted driving measures whether the driver stays focused. It applies the degree and duration of the distracted state from real-time risk assessment.
Behavioral Management Score
Behavioral Management Score shows how the organization performs on each individual behavior, and ranks drivers within each one.
SafeGuard scores 13 behavioral habits: fatigue, distraction, long continuous driving, speeding, following, mobile phone use, aggressive lane changing, solid line lane changing, seatbelt, deceleration, cornering, acceleration, and smoking.
How each habit section works
Every habit section follows the same pattern, so the steps below apply to all 13.
- Click the details link for the habit, for example Fatigued Driving Details, to open that habit's score leaderboard.
- Read the organization's habit score, which is the average of all drivers' scores for that habit. This locates the organization's level for the behavior.
- Check the event counts for the cycle, both the total and the rate per 100 km.
- Check the score distribution, which counts how many drivers fall into each score band.
- Check the score trend to see whether the organization is improving or deteriorating.
- Read the driver ranking, which sorts worst first.
- Click a driver to open their page for that habit.
What each habit counts
The sections differ only in the events they count and the page they link to.
