The Canadian ELD mandate specifies a speed threshold for Yard moves at 32 kmph (20mph). US Customers have the option to set a 20mph speed limit for drivers in yard moves per organization.
By default, this option is not selected and no speed limit will apply for drivers with a U.S rule set.
- In On-Road IoT, click Manage.
- Under Operations, click Database administration.
- Select the organization that you would like to edit; click the + if you need to expand the list.
- Click on the organization name.
- Click on HOS settings.
- Under Yard Moves Configuration, check the box Use 20mph limit for drivers in Yard moves. (Available to U.S only):
If this is selected and a driver exceeds 20mph, the app will automatically end Yard Moves, update the duty status from ODND to Driving, and create the appropriate Yard Move end event. The app will notify the driver when the Yard Moves ends due to the exceeding speed threshold.
NOTE: This functionality is only available with MiX 4000 firmware version FW 5.10.23 and above.
