Cartrack assets are not manually commissioned in On-Road IoT.
The Cartrack commissioning is automatic when the IoT Connector is enabled and has devices available to sync within the Cartrack platform for the authenticated user account.
Once commissioned, an asset will automatically be assigned to the default Cartrack configuration group and the serial number will be saved.
- The commissioning is automatic when the IoT Connector is enabled and has devices available to sync within the Geotab platform for the authenticated user account.
- In On-Road IoT, click Monitor.
- Under Fleet Admin, click IoT data connector.
- Search for the Cartrack connector, click Enable.
IMPORTANT NOTES
You cannot manually assign a serial number to an asset with the Cartrack mobile device connected.
You cannot move an asset from a Cartrack config group to a different device. The asset can only be decommissioned via the disable sync for the IoT Connector.
For successfully commissioned assets, the diagnostic info, available HW and FW details will be available on the diagnostic modal.
