Additional Settings
- Orange Band Lower Limit % - choose a value between 0 and 10.
- Orange Band Upper Limit % - choose a value between 3 and 10.
The default values are minimum 2% and maximum 4%.
These values are completely configurable depending on the percentage of variance that is acceptable in your organisation. This percentage is based on the difference between the set target consumption and the actual fuel consumption of your assets. If you choose a lower orange band limit % of say, 4, all the values that are under 4% in variance will be displayed in the optional column, "% Difference from target" in green. If you choose an upper band limit of say, 7%, all the values that differ more than 7% will be displayed in red in the column. All the values between the 4% and 7% will be displayed in amber/orange.
Remember that you have to select the % Difference from target optional column to view these values in the generated report. See the Use case 1 description below for more detail.
- Excel Tab Value - choose either Registration Number or Description.
This provides a choice of displaying the asset tabs by either registration number or the asset description in the exported Excel report. You will see the summary page on the first tab of the exported Excel report and then all the separate assets will be on individual tabs as labeled per selection.
The default value is Registration Number. See below for an example where description had been chosen:
Columns
Default
-
Page 1 (Summary page)
- Asset No.
- Asset Description - contains a link that navigates to the asset fuel information with each asset on a separate page.
- Registration Number - contains a link that navigates to the asset fuel information with each asset on a separate page.
- Fuel - The quantity of the fuel entered.
Page 2, etc. (Individual asset fuel information on the following pages)
- Asset No.
- Date.
- Day - Indicates the day of week the transaction was entered.
- Fill Time - time of fill.
- Asset Description.
- Registration Number.
- Fuel - the fuel used. Text will be displayed in orange if the fuel entry value is =5 and <10 measurement units larger than the fuel tank capacity. (Fuel tank capacity is an optional column that can be selected, see below). Text will be displayed in red if the fuel entry value is =/> 10 measurement units larger than the fuel tank capacity.
- Totals
- Averages
Optional
- % Difference From Target - with conditional formatting with the achieved consumption having to be within a specific percentage of the target to be green. Lower consumption is indicated in green; higher consumption is highlighted in red and orange is in the middle of these two.
- Base Currency Amount.
- Comment.
- Distance calculated from odo - The miles or kilometers driven per day calculated from the start to the end of the odometer reading. This is not the same as the distance read from the mobile device.
- Engine Hours (Hours).
- Fill Hour Meter Reading (Hours).
- Fill Location.
- Fill Odometer - The odometer reading at the time of filling.
- Fuel Consumption - Quantity used divided by Distance.
- Fuel Tank Capacity (volume)
- Previous Fill Hour Meter Reading (Hours)
- Previous Fill Odometer - The odometer reading for the previous filling.
- Target Consumption - The target consumption is defined in the asset configuration.
- Time zones.
- Total CO2-EST.
Use case 1:
To view a report indicating the difference in percentage between the actual fuel consumption and the set target consumption of the assets, you can select these three optional columns:
- % Difference from target
- Fuel consumption
- Target consumption
This will give you a good idea of how fuel efficient your assets are operating by indicating the difference between the fuel consumption and the target consumption in green, amber or red depending on the Orange Band Lower Limit parameter you chose in the additional settings. See depiction below:
Use case 2:
This will assist users to easily see possible fraudulent or incorrectly captured transactions.
Select these optional columns:
- Fuel tank capacity
The value in the fuel column, indicating the volume of fuel that has been captured, will show in different color text depending on the value of the fuel tank capacity.
- Orange: If the fuel entry value is =5 and <10 measurement units larger than the fuel tank capacity.
- Red: If the fuel entry value is =/>10 measurement units larger than the fuel tank capacity.
See the example below:
