When an organization is enabled for ELD a number of settings are hidden and defaulted on the FM and MiX 4000 mobile device types.
When a Rovi (II or IV) has been connected to a mobile device, the following will automatically be implemented when a user enables the ELD feature (by checking the checkbox) on the mobile device:
- The trip start will be recorded when speed or revs are detected and will default to the "as soon as the ignition is turned on even if no driver has been identified" setting, which will be hidden on the UI.
- The sub-trip start threshold will match the ELD driving start, e.g. >= 3.5mph => The moving speed will automatically be set to 3.5 miles and the setting will be hidden on the UI.
- The sub-trip end threshold will match the ELD driving end, e.g. 0mph for 3 seconds => The speed filter will automatically be set to 3 seconds and hide the setting on the UI.
- The trip end = when the ignition is switched off.
HOS data is generated by the Rovi and trips are generated by the mobile device. These HOS work states need to align with trips because the source is different.
