UD Trucks connects supported UD Trucks assets to On-Road IoT using the UD Trucks Connected Services REST API. The UD Trucks mobile device must be made available first so it shows in the system, but assets themselves are not manually commissioned — they're synced automatically through the On-Road IoT Data Connector.
What you need
- Valid UD Trucks Connected Services API credentials (Client ID, Client Secret, and API key).
- Access to the On-Road IoT Data Connector settings.
What you can do
- Track the vehicle position in live tracking.
- Review trips in trip history.
- View the odometer reading for the vehicle.
- View engine hours.
- Receive basic server-side event data. See Default events supported on UD Trucks integration.
Set up UD Trucks integration
- Make the UD Trucks mobile device available. See Make the mobile device available for your organization.
- Enable and configure the UD Trucks IoT Data Connector. See Setting up UD Trucks OEM integration in On-Road IoT.
