Commission a GM asset by assigning it to the default configuration group for GM (Mobway) and entering its VIN.
Make the GM OEM mobile device available first. Otherwise its configuration group is not listed.
- In On-Road IoT, click Monitor.
- Under Fleet admin, click Assets.
- Click Add asset or search for the relevant asset in the list and click the asset name to edit.
- Enter the Asset description.
- Select the Asset type.
- Enter the Registration number.
- Select the Site.
- Under Configuration group, select Default configuration group for GM (Mobway).
- Click Save.
- Click the Mobile device settings tab on the left.
- Enter the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
Please note that the VIN must match the vehicle registered with Mobway. Position, speed, and odometer appear after Mobway sends the first data for the vehicle.
- Click Save.
Troubleshoot
- Click Manage.
- Under Config Admin, click Configuration groups.
- Search for Mobway and check the box next to the correct config group to show the assets on the right.
- Check the Configuration status of the asset.
Click the Configuration status reason icon next to an asset to see why a configuration was rejected.
