Firmware 5.16.21 is a hotfix release that includes fixes and improvements to CAN data recording reliability, CAN script compatibility, harsh braking and acceleration event accuracy, tachograph data recovery, configuration load stability, device restart prevention under Bluetooth load, IPV6 support, and a fix for missing events.
This release fixes:
- CAN data recording reliability is now improved.
- CAN script compatibility has been improved.
- Harsh braking and acceleration event accuracy is now improved.
- Tachograph data recovery issues are now resolved.
- Configuration load stability has been improved.
- Device restarts under Bluetooth load are now prevented.
- IPv6 support has been added.
- Missing events issue is now resolved.
Downgrade advisory
Downgrading from firmware 5.16.21 to an earlier 5.16.x version may reintroduce intermittent CAN signal loss, false harsh braking and acceleration events, tachograph recording failures, configuration load failures, device resets under Bluetooth load, and CAN script rejection issues.

This hotfix only addresses the issues above. It is still recommended to upgrade any field device running older firmware over the air (OTA) to this release.
