Firmware 5.16.11 is being released as a focused hotfix to improve reliability and resolve several issues identified in the previous 5.16.9 firmware version.
The following issues have been addressed
- A fix has been added to resolve DTCO file upload issue.
- The panic button now registers quick presses (shorter than one second), ensuring that urgent or emergency activations are not missed.
- A fix has been applied to prevent unexpected modem restarts and improve communication stability.
Compatibility notice
- Firmware version 5.16.11 is not ELD compatible; firmware uploads of 5.16.11 will be blocked for units identified to be in use for ELD.
- ELD customers must remain on version 5.10.23, which includes the latest compliant features and necessary fixes for ELD operation.
Important: Once updated to firmware version 5.16.11, devices cannot be downgraded to any version earlier than 5.10.14. Downgrades will only be possible to version 5.10.14 or later.
Update recommendations
- This hotfix release addresses only the specific issues mentioned. However, it is recommended that any device in the field running firmware 5.16.9 be upgraded over the air (OTA) to this release.
- It is also recommended that any stock received or stock currently in the pipeline be upgraded either via the serial upgrader before installation or OTA once installed.
