Geotab assets are not manually commissioned in On-Road IoT.
- Commissioning is automatic when the IoT Connector is enabled, and there are devices available to sync within the Getoab platform for the authenticated user account.
- The Geotab device uses a 12-character serial number for commissioning.
- In On-Road IoT, click Monitor.
- Under Fleet Admin, clickIoT data connector.
- Search for the Geotab connector, click Enable.
Once vehicles are synchronized, data will show in real-time for Geotab devices within Live tracking, as they report into the MyGeotab platform. Trips may take up to 2 hours to show once completed.
IMPORTANT NOTES
You cannot manually assign a serial number to an asset with the Geotab mobile device connected.
You cannot move an asset from a Geotab config group to a different device. The asset can only be decommissioned via the disable sync for the IoT Connector.
