The Quectel EG912Y-EU modem, previously used on the MiX 4000 device, has become obsolete and has therefore been upgraded to the Quectel EG915N-EA modem.
As a result, the MiX 4452/-B variants with EG915N-EA modem will replace the MiX 4412/-B (EG912Y-EU).
All necessary certifications and comparative field trial testing have been carried out to validate this new modem as a suitable replacement for the EG912Y-EU modem, which is now discontinued.
Firmware support for this new modem has been added to FW v5.8.16 and will be available on all consequent versions.
