Default inspection templates are available that have been set up per common legislative requirements and cannot be edited or removed. You can duplicate these and edit them or create your own templates.
- Search for the relevant inspection template in the list.
- Click the three dots menu at the end of the row and select, Edit.
- Make the required changes, eg. you can change the template description.
- Choose another inspection type. An organisation can have multiple inspection templates of one inspection template type, e.g. pre-trip inspection for exterior, interior, short trips, long trips, etc.
- You can provide optional special instructions that will show a message to the driver before they start their vehicle inspection.
- Check the box under Default trailer template if you want the EasyCheck app to be used to inspect trailers that are not set up as assets in the Unity platform.
- Check the box under Pass all checks to allow drivers to pass all steps in a section with a single tap. When this is not enabled the driver must answer every step individually.
- Check the relevant boxes to require a mandatory reading of the odometer, hour meter or hubodometer with every inspection.
- You will see the amount of assets linked to this template in brackets next to the Assets heading. Assign certain assets to this template by clicking the Select assets button. You can also remove assets by clicking this button and removing the checkbox next to the asset in the list.
