- Create the asset on the "new" database using the exact same ID as on the existing database.
- Ensure your Unit Type, IP, APN Name and Pin number is correct. (IP address is set to that of the new database)
- Once completed, check if config can compile on the new database. You must be able to compile *config on the new database before the transfer attempt.*
On the existing ("old") database
- In the comms scheduler select the asset that needs to be transferred.
- Click on the Actions Tab / Edit Schedule.
- Upload via Transport method (GPRS default).
- In the Upload section make sure to select the Config checkbox (optional is the Force upload).
- In the Action section under Backdoor strings make sure to check the box "Move to organization", then select the organization and click Save.
If the asset is in a trip, a callback will be created whereby the schedule will execute as soon as the asset is in a "Armed" status.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Note that any changes in the config where new config gets compiled and selected to upload immediately will affect the transfer.
- The Upload scheduler needs to be run within the first 15 minutes after the vehicle went out of trip otherwise the transfer will be affected and will NOT work.
- If the vehicle is in trip or out of trip for longer than 15 minutes the transfer will NOT work.
Follow these steps:
- Click Manage.
- Under Scheduler, click Uploads.
- In the comms scheduler, select the asset that needs to be transferred.
- Click on the downward actions arrow and select Edit.
- Upload via Transport method (GPRS default)
