Permissions: You will need access permission to the Start driver debrief session to use this feature.
In this article you will find information on
Start coaching
- Click Monitor.
- Under Driver Coaching, click Driver debrief dashboard.
- Click on one of the time interval panels on the driver debrief dashboard under the Debrief completion overview section.
- This will show each team or group ordered from worst to best-performing based on the score. Click on the team or supervisor panel to view information by driver.
- You can sort the drivers by their score or by uncoached behaviors, i.e. coaching due. Tap the downwards arrow at the top and select your preference:
- Click on a driver name to update the information on the right-hand side.
- You will see a list of uncoached driver behaviors with a total indicated in a counter next to the heading.
- Click on the arrow next to Last driver commitment to view the commitment made by the driver during the previous coaching session.
- Click the Start driver debrief button.
- Click on an uncoached behavior on the left-hand side to see where it occurred on the map. Note that you coach behaviors and not individual events, so events are grouped under a behavior.
- You can however page through the individual events by clicking the Prev(ious) and Next buttons at the top of the map:
- Below the map, you will see detailed information about the event, including the exact date and time it occurred, the asset in use and location details.

When an event has not been configured to record positions, it will not have any information to plot on the map and you might get a message saying “The event has not been configured to record positions. Please check configuration to display events on the map.” Read Record events to change the configuration settings of events.
Replay video
- Replay a video of the event by clicking on Replay in Video gallery. This is only available when videos are available for an events and for users who have permission to view videos. A video player will open where you can see all the videos linked to the event. Click the “Close” button or 'X' to return to the coaching window.
View in tracking
- To view the trip in tracking, click View in Historical tracking. This button displays when you have permission to the feature. You will see the route the driver travelled when the Historical tracking feature is opened in a new tab. The coaching module will still be open in another window and you can just click the relevant tab to return to the coaching window.
Complete coaching a behavior
- When you are done with the necessary discussions and reviewed information linked to the events, i.e., videos and location insights, then you may mark the behavior as coached
- A graduation hat will indicate that the behavior has been coached.
NOTE: It is not mandatory to coach all behaviors immediately. However, you'll need to complete the debrief session before the interval closes to finish the coaching process and to save what has been done for the interval.
Pause / Exit coaching session
- If you want to continue the session later, click Exit session at the top.
- The status of the behaviors that were marked as coached will be saved.
- Click Yes to continue to the drivers screen.
Complete the debrief session
- When you done coaching the individual behaviors you can proceed to complete the coaching session by clicking the “Complete driver debrief” button. A pop-up will display to capture feedback about the session.
- Capture the driver’s demeanor during the session by selecting the appropriate emoji.
- Capture the driver’s commitment to how they will improve. This will be visible on the Drivers and Coaching screen. See page 15.
- Capture personal notes that you want to add regarding the session.
- Click the Submit button to save the feedback.
