To decommission the mobile phone associated with an asset, you need to remove the mobile device on the mobile device settings tab.
This sets the asset status to "decommissioned".
Decommissioning an asset is the only way to stop the phone storing trip and event data against the commissioned asset for any logged in driver. A decommissioned phone will continue to send data until the app is deleted from the phone.
- Click Monitor.
- Under Fleet Admin, click Assets.
- Select the specific asset by clicking the link in the asset description column.
- Click on the Mobile device settings tab.
- Click on Remove mobile device.
- Click OK to confirm.
