Important Notice
We regret to inform you that we have discovered an issue with the MiX 4000 4.8.62 firmware release, that can cause CAN data loss.
This issue is most likely to occur when the MiX 4000 has many, high-frequency events configured. This type of config activity results in a high CPU load and in severe cases it can cause CAN to lock up completely. A CAN lock-up would require a manual or remote reboot.
The root cause has been identified and fixed in the next release which is already in testing and will be released as soon as verification is complete. In addition, 4.8.62 will be removed from all production servers to avoid any further upgrades to this version.
New features and fixes:
- The issue with the Smart Stoneridge DTCO Generation 2 Cards has been resolved.
- LTE R410 units will now allow more time to register in areas of bad coverage before retrying.
- Accelerometer roll and pitch events will now process correctly.
- Enabled detection of config and settings loss. This can be monitored using the “Configuration loss detected” event.
- Implemented enhanced battery charging methodology.
- Fixed detailed event processing, such as over speeding, which could cause excessive event duration being recorded.
- Hot swopping driver plugs will now correctly switch over the new driver ID.
