Set up a GPS status event

Use the GPS External Antenna State condition to trigger an event when the external GPS antenna is faulty or disconnected. Set the condition to match the fault values directly, so the event does not trigger when the device sleeps.

Do not use the condition "is not 1" or check for 0. The device reports 0 (unknown) when it goes to sleep, so the event triggers incorrectly.

  1. In On-Road IoT, click Manage.
  2. Under Config admin, click Libraries.
  3. Click the Event library tab on the left.
  4. Click on the Add event icon, or open an existing event you want to configure.
  5. Under Conditions, click + to add a condition.
  6. In the first field, select GPS External Antenna State.
  7. In the operator field, select =.
  8. In the value field, enter 2.
  9. Click + to add a second condition.
  10. In the first field, select GPS External Antenna State.
  11. In the operator field, select =.
  12. In the value field, enter 3.
  13. In the field next to the first condition, select or.
  14. Click Save.
