From the Live tracking page, you can send a variety of commands to an asset. The commands available depend on the mobile device type.
Available Commands
Change Daily Limits
- Daily SMS limit — Adjust the maximum number of SMS messages sent per day.
- Daily satellite message limit — Adjust the maximum number of satellite messages sent per day.
Set the Relay Drive
Control when and how the relay switches on or off:
| Option | Behavior |
|---|---|
| On | Relay switches on as soon as the command is delivered. |
| Off | Relay switches off as soon as the command is delivered. |
| Progressively switch on | Relay cycles on and off, gradually staying on for longer periods until it remains on permanently after a few minutes. |
| Off (when trip ends) | Relay switches off only when the current trip ends. |
| On (when trip ends) | Relay switches on only when the current trip ends. |
| On when driver is identified | Relay switches on once a driver has been identified. |
Choose an Output Line and New State
Immobilizer — Returns relay control to the device firmware. The relay operates as an immobilizer controlled by the blue plug.
Set Immobilizer command
Set the command to on or off for the following two mobile device types:
- Orbcomm ST6100 (SAT only)
- Orbcomm ST9100 (GSM + SAT)
Clear the Message Buffer
Requests the mobile device to remove queued messages that haven't been sent because the daily limits were reached.
Change the Transport Method
Switch between available transport methods:
- GPRS (default)
- GSM SMS
Disarm the Asset Remotely
Available for the MiX 4000 and MiX 6000 LTE only.
Set Limp Mode
Available for the following devices:
- Orbcomm ST6100 (SAT only)
- Orbcomm ST9100 (GSM + SAT)
How do I send this to my device:
- Click Monitor.
- Under Tracking, click Live tracking.
- Make sure the Assets tab is selected.
- Click the three dots menu at the end of the relevant asset row.
- Click Commands to mobile device.
- Make the necessary changes by selecting the relevant radio button and choosing the required values.
- Click Send.
You can also set up a stream in the Info Hub to track commands to the mobile device.
