Security groups control what users can access, including assets, drivers, and sites. A security group is a set of users managed through a common set of permissions, and a user can belong to more than one security group.
When you assign permissions to a group through roles, every user in the group inherits those permissions. Any change you make to a security group affects all users in that group. Using security groups reduces the time it takes to set up permissions.
- Users must belong to at least 1 security group.
- User will get their permissions according to their security group membership.
- Group permissions cannot be removed from an individual user.
- Additional roles can be added directly to a user.
