MiX Vision AI is an advanced video telematics solution that detects events using a built-in AI processor. These include passive ADAS (advanced driving assistance system) events such as lane departure, forward collision, following distance and driver behavior events such as fatigue, distraction, smoking and phone usage. The MiX Vision AI system can alert the driver in real-time of dangerous behavior and upload events to MiX Fleet Manager that can be reviewed by a fleet manager to aid them in coaching the drivers to reduce driving risk.
The MiX Vision AI utilizes machine-vision based video analytic technology to detect road dangers and unsafe driving behaviors. Detected events will trigger a voice prompt and audible as well as visual (if using the optional R-Watch) notifications to alert the driver in real-time, while these recordings are uploaded to the system simultaneously. The driver-facing camera, called the DSM (Driver Status Monitoring) camera detects any driver distraction or fatigue events while the AI host detects any ADAS (Advance Driver Assistance System) events on the road.
MiX Vision AI will benefit drivers by giving them more contextual information related to their driving performance and makes them more engaged in the performance coaching process.
