When an asset has been linked to a configuration group that contains an OEM mobile device, the enrollment process is automatically started.
- On-Road IoT will automatically send the VIN to the OEM and request that the asset be enrolled in the OEM data service.
- After about 1 or 2 minutes, the OEM will be polled for a response to the request.
Hino and Navistar OEM enrollment can be processed automatically; the "Configuration status" will be set to Configuration accepted.
For Ford and Stellantis OEMs, the vehicle is required to be turned on for the enrollment to be completed.
